Supply Chain Manager

Our client is a high-end engineering business working with multinational customers in the high-tech sector. They are working with Hays on an exclusive basis and looking for a Supply Chain Manager due to a restructure in the team.
Your new role
You will be a proactive and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead & optimise their procurement and supply team operations. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless flow of materials, maintaining supplier relationships, and upholding their commitments to delivering high-precision components to exacting quality standards to their customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, inventory management, cost control, and process efficiency, collaborating closely with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure operational excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for candidates who are a self-starter and maximise personal effectiveness by the way of continuous improvement. Be an effective and confident communicator. Be a champion of excellent customer service with 5 years' experience in high compliance industries like aerospace and defence. Experience managing high value, high precision shipments across multimodel channels to deliver knowledge sharing and processes to the wider team. Experience preparing budgets and cost management with some or all aspects of logistics. Some knowledge of international trade and customs would be desirable.

What you'll get in return
A salary of c£65,000 with a quarterly bonus. 33 days annual leave with the option to buy holidays. Companies pay 5.5 % of your pension and you can increase the contributions.
