Supply Chain Optimisation Manager

Multi-Site – Corby & Hams Hall

We're looking for someone who can look at a warehouse operation, analyse the data and answer some big questions:

Are we using our space effectively? Where should our stock be located? What will our capacity look like in 12, 24 or 36 months? And what could we be doing better?

This is a highly analytical and strategic role focused on improving how we manage inventory, warehouse space, capacity and operational processes across two sites.

You'll take large volumes of operational data and turn them into practical recommendations that influence how our warehouses operate both now and in the future.

What you'll be working on:-

Analyse inventory, warehouse and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

Develop short, medium and long-term capacity and inventory plans.

Review warehouse layouts, storage methods, stock locations and slotting.

*

Identify opportunities to improve space utilisation, stock flow and productivity.

*

Model the impact of changing volumes and future business requirements.

*

Assess opportunities for automation and alternative operational solutions.

*

Build recommendations and business cases using data and commercial insight.

*

Work closely with Operations and senior stakeholders to turn recommendations into action.

*

Challenge existing processes and identify better, smarter ways of working.

*

Lead and develop the inventory teams across the operation.

What we're looking for

You don't need to come from a traditional Inventory Manager background.

We're particularly interested in people with experience in areas such as:

Supply Chain Planning | Logistics Optimisation | Warehouse Optimisation | Solutions Design | Inventory Planning | Capacity Planning | Logistics Engineering | Continuous Improvement

You'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent Excel/data analysis capability and the confidence to present your findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Experience within warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations is important, but we're equally interested in how you think.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable asking “why?”

Someone who won't simply accept “that's how we've always done it”, but will use data to understand the problem, challenge the process and find a better solution.
