Job Description - Supply Teaching Assistant

Role: Supply Teaching Assistants

Location: Salisbury

Start: As Soon As Possible

Contract: Flexible, ad-hoc work 

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:45 - 14:45

Pay: £100 - £110 per day


 

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful role this summer term? Do you have a passion for supporting young people with autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs or other special educational needs?


 

We’re looking for Supply Teaching Assistants to join a newly opened, purpose-built specialist school that’s part of a forward-think and respected academy trust in Salisbury. This is your chance to make a real difference and be part of something inspiring.


 

About The Role:


 

As a key member of the support team, you’ll help students aged 4 - 19 reach their full potential in a safe, structured and nurturing environment. Working alongside teachers, therapists and specialist staff, you’ll provide personalised support that goes beyond the classroom.


 

Your impact will include:


 

  • Supporting learning tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Encouraging emotional wellbeing and social development 
  • Collaborating on Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Bringing learning to life using cutting-edge resources like sensory rooms, therapy zones and interactive suites

What We’re Looking For:


 

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
  • SEN experience (especially with ASD or SEMH) is a strong advantage
  • Patience, empathy and a team-first attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting every learner’s potential 
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
