Academics is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools and specialist SEN settings in Ebbw Vale.

We work closely with local schools and can offer a variety of opportunities, from flexible day-to-day supply to longer-term placements. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in different educational settings while finding work that fits around your availability.

The Role

Supporting pupils across primary schools and specialist SEN settings.

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.

Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.

Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them access learning and develop independence.

Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and social development.

Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Adapting to different schools, classrooms and pupil needs.

We're Looking For

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in another setting.

Experience within primary schools or SEN environments is highly desirable.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Confidence supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

A genuine passion for helping children learn and develop.
