Job Description - Support Manager

Support Manager

  • Annual Salary: £33,802
  • Location: North East, UK
  • Job Type: Full-time

Reed Health & Care are currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Manager for our client based in the North East of England. This role is crucial for managing community relations and delivering exceptional support across multiple locations in the North East. It offers a fantastic opportunity for career advancement and involves direct operational management to ensure the quality of provision.

The position is Monday to Friday however you will be required to work on call on a weekend rota. The rota is scheduled in advance and they provide an additional £220 per month to cover this.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Inspire and empower your team to provide meaningful and impactful support and care.
  • Monitor the quality of your locations and implement necessary improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, meet KPIs, and uphold standards.
  • Coordinate with professionals and agencies to enhance support services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the people we support, their families, and their circle of support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a relevant organisation.
  • NVQ in Care Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Relevant management qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience in staff management and mentoring.
  • Experience managing dispersed regional locations.
  • Familiarity with CQC standards, Mental Capacity Act, and GDPR.
  • Strong communication and delegation skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict and challenging conversations effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
