Support work/Dog Walk

Ritagreen Healthcare Services is looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals for the role of Support Worker with a focus on Dog Walking. In this unique position, you will provide essential support to clients while also taking their beloved pets for walks. This role combines elements of personal care assistance for our clients with the opportunity to help them maintain companionship with their furry friends. You will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive the right support in their daily activities, while also ensuring that their dogs get the exercise they need to stay healthy and happy.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living tasks and personal care needs
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Take clients' dogs for regular walks, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Engage clients in activities that promote their social interaction and mental stimulation
• Monitor clients' health and emotional well-being, reporting any changes as necessary
• Help with medication management and document care provided
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care plans
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for both clients and their pets

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in caregiving or animal care are a plus
• Experience in a caregiving role or support work is preferred
• Genuine love and understanding of animals, particularly dogs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing exceptional care
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
