Support Workers – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Derby
Pay: £13.30 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

HUFF Recruitment is currently recruiting Support Workers to join a children’s residential home in Derby.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people, helping them overcome challenges, build confidence and develop the skills they need to thrive.

The Role

*

Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.

*

Help create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.

*

Support young people with their emotional, social and developmental needs.

*

Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records.

*

Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, child-centred care.

*

Participate in activities that promote independence, confidence and positive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

*

Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

*

A caring, patient and resilient approach.

*

Good communication and teamwork skills.

*

An understanding of safeguarding and the needs of vulnerable young people.

*

A willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins.

*

A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it, subject to the role’s requirements.
