Are you caring, patient, and passionate about helping others live independently?
We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to support children and adults across West Sussex. In this rewarding role, you'll help individuals with a range of physical, learning, sensory, and mental health needs to live fulfilling lives, maintain their independence, and achieve their personal goals.
Whether you already have experience in care and support or have transferable skills from a customer-facing, childcare, healthcare, or community-based role, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs, including:
âś… Supporting daily living activities and promoting independence
âś… Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
âś… Administering medication in line with training and procedures
âś… Supporting mobility, moving and handling, and hoisting where required
âś… Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where appropriate
âś… Providing companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social interaction
âś… Completing accurate records and reporting concerns or changes in wellbeing
âś… Carrying out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
âś… Following care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans
âś… Responding effectively in emergency situations
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in care, support work, healthcare, residential care, childcare, or a similar role is desirable A caring, compassionate, and positive attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support Physical ability to support individuals safely Access to reliable transport, as travel between locations is essential
