Surety Underwriter

A leading MGA business is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to play a pivotal role in expanding the Surety portfolio, currently valued at circa £4 million and predominantly focused on the construction sector. With ambitious plans to grow the portfolio to £10 million over the next five years and diversify into new surety markets, this is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of strategic growth and product innovation.

As Senior Underwriter, you will:

• Oversee daily operations of the surety line, currently 80-90% construction-focused.
• Work closely with the Underwriting Director to shape and execute the business's growth strategy.
• Expand our product offering and geographical reach.
• Bring leadership and insight to help scale a dynamic and growing portfolio.
• Leverage underwriting capacity of £10 million aggregate and up to £7.5 million single risk (negotiable).

Skills and Experience Required:

• A seasoned surety underwriting professional with experience.
• Strong network and deep knowledge of the UK surety market.
• Proven ability to contribute to strategic growth and operational leadership.
