We are currently looking for an experienced Surveyor to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Torness.

Your role will encompass:

• Conducting pre-construction topographic surveys to determine property boundaries based on information provided by the client.


• Reviewing and interpreting site plans to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications.


• Accurately setting out works before construction begins, ensuring clarity and precision.


• Communicating effectively with the site team and subcontractors to ensure a thorough understanding of the provided information.


• Collaborating with designers and engineers to verify the accuracy of plans and drawings.


• Assisting in the supervision and coordination of construction activities on site.


• Maintaining and interpreting site, topographic, and construction drawings.


• Performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.


• Producing accurate as-built drawings for O&M folders.

What you bring to the role:

• Degree in Surveying Engineering or a related field.


• 5+ years of relevant experience.


• Experience in setting out and surveying for thermal power plants or similar construction projects.


• Excellent communication, organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.


• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS, and surveying equipment.


• Ability to operate in a highly technical or complex project environment.
