Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per year + Excellent Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation that places environmental and social responsibility at the core of its operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Sustainability Officer, where you'll help shape and deliver key sustainability objectives across the business and its supply chain.

The Role

As Sustainability Officer, you will lead on data-driven initiatives to improve environmental and social performance. You will collaborate across departments to promote responsible business practices and support long-term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data related to carbon emissions, waste, energy use, and responsible sourcing
• Implement and support sustainability projects across departments
• Work with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT to streamline data collection and reporting processes
• Contribute to internal and external sustainability reports, including those aligned with CSRD standards
• Use tools and internal systems to track environmental impact and identify improvement opportunities
• Support the definition and tracking of reduction targets
• Ensure accuracy of data through structured checks and internal audit methods
• Present insights, progress updates, and risks to key stakeholders and senior management
• Engage with supply chain partners to promote sustainable practices
• Contribute to wider corporate and customer sustainability goals, including Science-Based Targets

• Previous experience in a sustainability or CSR role, with a focus on data reporting and analysis
• Solid understanding and exposure to Environmental frameworks
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and be able to influence and coach others
• Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and data visualisation tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
• Full driving license as some travel will be involved in the role
• Ideally degree-qualified in Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environment, or a related field
