Job Description - System Administrator

Systems Support Officer
Norfolk (Hybrid)

£26,000 (3 months Temp to Perm)


REED Technology are working with a client who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Systems Support Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to develop their skills in the ERP space. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of their ERP system, Unit4.

Main Job Purpose:

  • Respond to and manage the ERP system mailbox, ensuring timely correspondence.
  • Support the development of the ERP system, covering Purchase to Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Budget & Forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure system processes and interfaces are running smoothly, intervening when necessary to maintain performance.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register of processes relevant to the role.
  • Provide assistance to the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Reconciliations teams to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by answering questions and responding to queries on the ERP system.
  • Assist the Senior Systems Accountant and Systems Analyst in developing the ERP system.
  • Manage interfaces with the ERP system and ancillary systems to ensure accurate postings.
  • Keep financial procedures and systems up to date, ensuring they operate effectively.
  • Provide support to colleagues and work with partners to ensure robust and accurate financial information and advice.
  • Work on varied but straightforward projects and tasks, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Perform any other duties of a similar nature as required.

About You:

  • Enthusiastic about technology and eager to learn.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems, with a preference for experience in Unit4.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Qualifications in IT, Computing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
