System Integration Project Planner Lead Engineer
📍 Gaydon, Warwickshire 💰 £35.80 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £26.68 per hour PAYE 📅 Contract until March 2027 ⏰ 40 hours per week
We are recruiting for a System Integration Project Planner Lead Engineer to join a leading automotive OEM based in Gaydon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems or integration professional to play a key role in the delivery of customer features across major vehicle programmes.
Working within the Central Systems Integration (CSI) team, you will be responsible for coordinating the integration and delivery of customer features and functions across multiple engineering domains, ensuring successful progression through programme milestones and final engineering sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the successful delivery of vehicle features across programme gateways and milestones.
* Coordinate engineering activities across multiple technical domains.
* Identify and resolve integration risks, dependencies and programme blockers.
* Ensure feature maturity is aligned with programme timing and objectives.
* Collaborate with programme planners, system integration teams and vehicle engineering stakeholders.
* Drive resolution of cross-functional engineering issues.
* Monitor and report feature status, delivery risks and key performance indicators.
* Support continuous improvement of planning, reporting and integration processes.
* Facilitate final engineering sign-off activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of the Systems Design Life Cycle, including:
* System definition
* System architecture
* Requirements management
* Design reviews
* Systems integration
* Validation and acceptance
* Proven experience working within complex engineering environments.
* Strong technical analysis and problem-solving capability.
* Experience coordinating activities across multiple engineering teams.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
Desirable Experience
* Project or programme management experience within engineering environments.
* Experience using JIRA and associated project management toolsets.
* Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical or software system integration.
* Automotive industry experience preferred.
