Hybrid - 3 days per week in the Maidenhead Office

As a Systems Administrator you will be supporting both internal and external hosted systems by managing hardware and software infrastructure. You'll play a key role in supporting Hosted operations, handling complex support requests, collaborating across departments, and maintaining high availability and performance of systems.

Key Responsibilities

• • Monitor, identify, and correct issues with platforms including HyperV, Application Support, Server, SAN/NAS etc
  • Design and select storage, data centre, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice.
  • Maintain assigned portals/websites, using content creation and management tools as well as digital media.
  • Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
  • Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively across technical teams when working on, through or escalating issues.

Technical Skills:

• • Solid foundation in networking principles.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory administration and issue resolution.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Clustering for high-availability services.
  • Experience with Windows backup solutions - Veeam preferred
  • Experience administering SAN solutions (e.g., provisioning, monitoring).
  • Good understanding of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Good understanding of SQL Server - including monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
  • Experience with Windows Certificate Management is a plus.
  • Ability to write/debug PowerShell scripts for automation and system tasks.
  • Good to great understanding of switch configuration and firewall rule sets is a strong plus.
  • Barracuda platform knowledge - including Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and NextGen Firewall - is highly desirable.
  • Cisco ASA firewall experience is a strong bonus
  • Hands-on experience with Hyper-V vitalisation platform - Including clustering/clustered storage
  • A good understanding of PCI-DSS Practice is a plus
