Systems Specialist - Windows/Virtualisation Expertise

Location: City of London, Hybrid

Our client, a leading FinTech firm leveraging cutting-edge quantitative investment strategies, is seeking a Systems Specialist with strong skills in Windows environments, Virtualisation, Active Directory, Azure, and PowerShell.

Joining a collaborative and innovative team, you’ll work across critical infrastructure areas such as Active Directory & DNS, Windows Server & VMware, VDI & Azure (O365), and developer-focused service support. There are opportunities to rotate across specialist teams to broaden your technical exposure.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years' hands-on experience with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, Azure, VMware, and Windows enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with VDI platforms (preferably VMware Horizon).
• A strong problem-solving mindset, with examples of automation, self-driven learning, or independent technical projects.
• Passion for innovation — home lab or personal tech projects are highly valued.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Delivered VDI or VMware stack projects.
• Automated environments or processes via scripting.
• Shown continual progression and technical curiosity.
