The Opportunity:
Europe’s #1 Integrated Defence Company seeks a talented Systems Engineer to support Design, Engineering and Integration activities for its ground-breaking (LDEW) Laser-Directed Energy Weapon System, Dragonfire.

DragonFire:
Following a series of highly publicised and successful trials, the DragonFire System is set to revolutionise the battlefield by reducing dependence on costly ammunition and minimising collateral damage - capable of hitting a £1 coin from a kilometre away.

You'll join a Team continuing to innovate and advance DragonFire into a world-class, deployable Laser-Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) air defence system. This will be achieved through simultaneous and integrated streams of cutting-edge technology experimentation and rapid weapon system development, offering systems engineers exciting opportunities across key domains: Requirements, Design, Performance Analysis, and Certification.

Required Skills/Experience:
A British citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Beneficial knowledge of lasers or maritime system integration.
System Design Engineering expertise.
Initiating and driving trade studies and system development.
Developing complex defence systems.
Proficient in elaborating user requirements with design authorities.
Supporting functional design with requirement flow down.
Ability to clearly convey technical information to customers.
Passion for growing the Systems Design team and its members.
Tools like DOORS, NG, Rhapsody, Matlab or Simulink.

Benefits Package:
Base salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 (DoE)
Annual Bonus:

Circa £2,000
Overtime:

Optional paid overtime - flat rate (1.25)

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Pension:

Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer)
Share Incentive Plan:

Sick Pay:

Ranges from 6 weeks for your first six months of service and scales up to 48 weeks after five years of service.
