Our client, a leading infrastructure business operating in the water sector, is seeking a Systems Integration Lead for a permanent position supporting major water and wastewater projects in the Anglian Water region. This electrical-focused role will provide technical leadership for instrumentation, control and automation (ICA), systems integration, commissioning and technical governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, review and implementation of ICA and systems integration delivery strategies Manage systems integrator performance, procurement activities, resources and supply chain relationships Review ICA design deliverables, including P&IDs, process control philosophies, URS, FDS, telemetry schedules and control system architectures Oversee SCADA, telemetry, Profibus, Fieldbus and fibre optic integration requirements Plan and manage systems integration surveys, commissioning, factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing Ensure project programmes, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements include all relevant integration activities Support change management, commercial assessments, defect management and progress reporting Maintain effective relationships with clients, electrical engineers, design teams, commissioning managers, subcontractors and suppliers
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in systems integration, commissioning or a systems engineering management role within the water, utilities or infrastructure sector Relevant engineering qualification, such as a BEng, HNC or HND, with strong electrical knowledge Understanding of instrumentation, control and automation systems, including MCCs, LCPs, SCADA and telemetry Experience of Profibus, Fieldbus and fibre optic system design Knowledge of cyber security protocols and project compliance requirements Experience reviewing technical submissions, standard designs, control system risk assessments and governance documentation Understanding of surveying, interrogation, troubleshooting and commissioning activities CSCS certification, strong communication skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and work collaboratively
