Location: Warrington - Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 WFH)
Salary: Up to £55,000 - £65,000 + Private Medical, Car Scheme, Flexi Hours, & More

The Company

A long-established software house with a tight-knit team, operating in a high-availability, critical communications environment, is looking for an Systems Manager to take ownership of their internal systems, deployments, and operational resilience.

Their platform processes over 1 million emails daily across, delivering vital satellite communication services to clients across maritime and remote sectors. It's low-latency, low-bandwidth infrastructure at scale.

The Role

You'll take over a critical function and transform it into a robust, modern infrastructure practice.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing and hardening 24/7 AWS-hosted services in a live, production environment
• Owning software deployments (currently manual via PowerShell) and rolling out formal CI/CD pipelines
• Modernising systems to increase resilience, availability, and maintainability
• Leading outages and incident responses (some out-of-hours/on-call involved)
• Rolling out a new email security platform
• Leading systems knowledge discovery, documentation, and operational efficiency drives
• Supporting ISO27001 processes and overall IT security improvement

Technical Requirements:

• AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SES, DynamoDB)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Strong experience in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Windows & Linux server management
• Knowledge of email systems
• Experience setting up or improving CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of IT security principles & ISO27001
