Role summary

You will support the delivery of a compliance programme covering approximately 1,500 temporary accommodation properties, ensuring statutory and regulatory documentation is obtained, reviewed and accurately recorded.

Alongside compliance monitoring, you will undertake property inspections, investigate property condition and disrepair concerns, and work with landlords and managing agents to ensure required works are completed and temporary accommodation meets the required standards.

What you will do as a TA Compliance Officer

·Support the delivery of a compliance programme across approximately 1,500 temporary accommodation properties.
·Request and review statutory and regulatory compliance documentation, including Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs, Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella documentation and HMO licensing.
·Review certificates for validity, accuracy and expiry dates, identifying and escalating discrepancies or areas of non-compliance.
·Maintain central compliance trackers and ensure certificates and supporting documentation are accurately recorded on relevant systems.
·Undertake temporary accommodation property inspections to assess property standards, occupancy and welfare concerns where required.
·Investigate disrepair complaints and property-related enquiries, producing reports and responses following inspections.

What you will need as a TA Compliance Officer

·Experience working within temporary accommodation, housing compliance, property inspection or a closely related housing environment.
·Experience reviewing property compliance documentation and identifying missing, expired or inaccurate records.
·Good working knowledge of property compliance requirements, including gas, electrical, fire safety, EPC and HMO requirements.
·Experience carrying out property inspections and identifying property condition, disrepair or compliance issues.
·Ability to produce clear inspection reports, Schedules of Works and accurate case records.
·Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of compliance information and competing priorities.
