Job Description - Talent and Performance Manager - FTC

About Us

We are Ocado Group, and we're bringing world-class automation to online grocery. Our Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) combines cutting-edge robotics, AI, and IoT within our advanced CFCs. We've mastered the single pick, transforming online delivery for our global partners. Join us and be part of a team pushing the boundaries of retail technology.

About the Role

As Talent & Performance Manager, you will shape and embed the people products that unlock performance, accelerate development, and build inclusive, wellbeing-centred practices at Ocado. You’ll ensure our frameworks for performance, talent, careers, succession, and inclusion are business-relevant, data-driven, and designed to meet the needs of a diverse global workforce.

You will set the strategic direction for these frameworks while overseeing their day-to-day application - partnering across the business to ensure they are future-focused and responsive to change. By combining product ownership with strong stakeholder influence, you’ll drive innovation, insight, and thought-leadership that enables our people to grow, progress, and thrive in an inclusive high-performing culture.

This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening pipelines for critical roles, mitigating talent and succession risks, and shaping a culture of performance, wellbeing, and opportunity across our global business.

About you

  • Deep subject matter expertise in performance and talent management.

  • Experience leading or embedding diversity and wellbeing approaches within a complex or global organisation.

  • Strong product mindset and experience with product development or lifecycle management.

  • Experience embedding talent or performance products at scale, preferably in matrixed or global organisations.

  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and managing complexity across multiple business areas and global locations.

  • Demonstrated success in activating people products through education, change and partnering.

  • Excellent use of data and insight to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Experience with talent systems (Workday preferred) and data governance principles.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a strong understanding of audience diversity and inclusive design principles.

  • Experience in fast-paced tech or digital businesses is advantageous.

What we offer

We believe in supporting our people with meaningful, flexible benefits that prioritise well-being and work-life balance. Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect:

  • Time to recharge:
25 days annual leave (rising to 27 after 5 years), plus the option to buy more – and 30 days a year to work from anywhere in the world.

  • Health & wellbeing:
Private Medical Insurance from your first month, wellbeing support through specialist apps and EAP, plus Income Protection and Life Assurance.

  • Family-first policies:
22 weeks paid maternity/primary carer leave and 6 weeks paid paternity leave (after qualifying period).

  • Financial support:
Pension with employer matching up to 7%, share schemes (Sharesave & BAYE), and interest-free loans for train tickets.

  • Commuter perks:
Cycle to Work Scheme and free shuttle buses to/from Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City stations.

  • Exclusive discounts:
15% off at Ocado.com with free delivery (starting in your first month).

Ocado Group is an equal opportunities employer and as such makes every effort to ensure that all potential employees are treated fairly and equally, regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, age, or disability or union membership status.
