Talent Development Partner

About the role 

We are working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Talent Development Partner to join its People & Culture team.

This is a broad and varied role focused on talent development, learning and development, workforce planning and supporting managers to build capability across the organisation. 
You will work closely with senior managers and the wider People & Culture team to understand organisational capability needs and develop practical solutions that support both individual and organisational performance. 
The role will involve developing and delivering talent initiatives, career pathways, leadership development, apprenticeships, performance management and workforce planning, alongside using people data and insight to inform decisions.

Key responsibilities
• Partner with managers to develop workforce, job design, talent and succession strategies
• Use workforce data and analytics to identify trends, skills gaps and future workforce requirements
• Develop career families and career pathways across the organisation
• Support initiatives designed to strengthen the organisation's position as an employer of choice
• Lead the apprenticeship programme, including planning future growth and maximising available funding
• Oversee mandatory and developmental training through the organisation's LMS
• Work with departments to understand capability and development needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Develop and deliver learning and development programmes, workshops and initiatives
• Support managers in creating an environment where employees can perform, develop and thrive
• Lead communications and campaigns to showcase talent and development opportunities
• Support leadership development programmes, coaching and mentoring initiatives
• Develop and maintain competency frameworks and career development programmes
• Support performance management initiatives and evaluate their effectiveness
• Use employee feedback, surveys and engagement data to identify trends and provide actionable insight
• Work closely with colleagues to embed equality, diversity and inclusion across people processes and frameworks
• Act as a trusted partner to managers, helping them understand and address people and capability challenges
• Analyse and report workforce data to support strategic decision making
• Support job evaluation activity and associated processes
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline People & Culture processes

About you
We are looking for an experienced HR, Talent Development or Learning & Development professional with a strong understanding of talent, development and HR best practice.

You will ideally have:
• Significant professional HR experience at an advisory or partnering level
• Experience partnering with senior managers to identify workforce, skills and capability requirements
• Experience developing and implementing talent and succession initiatives
• Strong experience across learning and development
• Experience managing sensitive people issues and achieving positive outcomes
• Strong understanding of employee experience and employee voice
• Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to turn workforce data into meaningful insight
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications
• CIPD qualified to Chartered level or substantial equivalent HR experience
• Educated to Level 7 or able to demonstrate equivalent experience and capability
