Tax Assistant - Private Client - Edinburgh - Office Based - Permanent

Valeco Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a well-established legal firm seeking an experienced Tax Assistant to join their Private Client team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, office-based role, although part-time or flexible arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

The firm is a leader in private client services, working with a wide portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, trusts and estates, and rural enterprises.

Role Overview:
You will support a broad range of tax planning work including:

• Personal and succession tax planning (IHT, CGT, Income Tax)

• Trust and executry compliance and advisory

• Tax considerations in land and heritable property transactions

• Support on VAT, LBTT and SDLT issues (training available)

• Assisting Partners and contributing to internal training

• Building strong client relationships and supporting business development

Ideal Candidate:

• ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of tax advisory experience

• Understanding of legal or professional services environments

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

• Confident, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

• Interest in continued development (TEP or similar)

• Salary: Based on experience

• Contract: Permanent
