About the Firm

With offices in both the UK and US, our client provides a full suite of services to an exciting roster of creatives and leaders in entertainment and sport. The team is known for being agile, personable, and deeply embedded in the industries they serve.

This role is based in central Manchester with hybrid working (typically 2-3 days in the office), offering both flexibility and the buzz of working with passionate, like-minded professionals.

The Role

You’ll lead a team of 5 (1 in-office, 4 remote), taking ownership of a broad tax portfolio that includes both personal and corporate tax clients. The focus is advisory-led, with plenty of client interaction and a strong commercial focus - you’ll be a key voice in supporting strategic decisions at partner level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead personal and corporate tax advisory work, planning and compliance across a varied and high-profile client base
• Build lasting relationships with clients - advising on legislation, planning opportunities and resolving complex tax issues
• Manage the workflow of a collaborative team - reviewing work, mentoring, and providing training
• Translate complex tax changes into clear, commercial advice for both clients and internal teams
• Drive business development - from proposal writing and networking to strategic growth initiatives
• Maintain a strong grasp of UK corporate and personal tax regulations; international tax experience is a bonus
• Act as a go-to advisor within the firm, working across teams and levels to deliver outstanding results

What We’re Looking For

• CTA qualified
• Experience as a Tax Manager or Senior Manager in a practice environment (ideally with a personal/corporate tax blend)
• Experience working with overseas clients and/or international tax
• Passion for the entertainment and creative industries
• Confident, commercial, and client-facing with exceptional communication skills
• Strong leadership - collaborative, supportive and empowering of junior team members
• Meticulous attention to detail, deadline-driven and highly organised
• Ambition to grow within a business that supports career development
