Overview

An outstanding firm of Chartered Accountants is on the lookout for their newest senior member of the Tax Department! The purpose of this role will be to specialise in Corporation Tax, providing a range of advisory services and preparing tax computations for a portfolio of complex clients.

This role is Monday - Friday 37.5hrs with potential for hybrid working after training and probation.

Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications + bonus + benefits. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Preparing tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for complex clients (e.g. corporate groups, private equity-backed businesses, and large owner-managed businesses)
• Develop commercial, trusted relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery
• Identifying and managing contentious tax issues, advising clients appropriately to mitigate risk
• Calculating Quarterly Instalment Payments
• Conducting detailed capital allowances reviews
• Preparing and submitting R&D tax relief claims
• Reviewing compliance work prepared by junior colleagues for simpler clients
• Train, mentor and support junior colleagues in their development
• Supporting corporation tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions

What we're looking for:

A successful candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / AAT / CTA) and demonstrate a strong background in UK accounting practice and corporation tax experience.
