Tax Manager

JSS are hiring a Group Tax Manager for a leading retail company based near to Milton Keynes (supporting flexible working).

This is a permanent role paying circa £65k-£80k plus bonus and with a great benefits package.

The Tax Manager will fulfil a varied role covering both direct tax and indirect tax matters, responsible for corporation tax, VAT, employment tax, R&D tax, DST and different international tax issues

There is a healthy mix of tax compliance (preparation and review), reporting, tax advisory work, business partnering and tax project work.

Key stakeholders include the CFO, Group FD, Group FC, internal internationally-based tax colleagues and external tax advisors.

The company are happy to consider candidates coming from either a direct tax or indirect tax background as long as they are happy to take on the wider role containing both.

Its a great opportunity for someone in practice looking for their first role in industry, but would also be a good fit for someone with in-house experience who wants a more varied role, a step up in responsibility or just something with an increased level of pay or work-life balance.
