Overview

A thriving and growing Chartered Accountancy firm is on the lookout for a Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their office in East Sussex. Known for putting their people first, this team offers personalised training, hybrid working, and clear routes to advance your career.

Salary will be circa £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Whilst this is primarily a full-time permanent role, the firm is also open to discussing other working part-time patterns.

Duties

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, providing personal tax and capital gains tax services
• Prepare or review IHT, P11D, ATED returns and trust-related tax returns (desirable but not essential)
• Deliver corporation tax services where appropriate
• Support and mentor junior staff; manage workloads and provide technical oversight
• Act as a main point of contact for clients, offering tailored tax advice and outstanding service
• Liaise with HMRC and other third parties as needed
• Contribute to a collaborative, growing team that values development and innovation

What we're looking for

A successful candidate will have circa 4 years experience handling various tax matters in a UK accountancy practice and be qualified (or near qualified) in a recognised accounting qualification.
