Tax Manager

Tax Manager | Hybrid working | Permanent | £70,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Clothing Allowance | London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager to join a large, well-established retailer headquartered in central London. This role sits within the Tax team, being the go-to person for the UK & international corporate tax and playing a pivotal role in a major transformation project.

Reporting into the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for a junior Tax Associate and direct tax across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering and improving tax governance and transfer pricing policies, procedures and controls
• Management of the tax accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Managing the preparation of the businesses’ CT returns for the UK
• Managing the preparation, submission and agreement of European corporate tax returns
• Effective partnering with senior stakeholders across the business
• Preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in the consolidated financial statements
• Team management of 1 direct report
• Assist in the system transformation project from a tax perspective
  

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience of UK corporate tax
• Qualification of ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent would be preferable
• Prior experience of finance either in a large practice or industry
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changes
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
