Tax Manager

SF Recruitment are exclusively working with a fantastic organisation based near to Glasgow that require someone with a specialism within indirect tax. The candidate will become the Tax Manager for the organisation, becoming the point of contact for all tax related queries with internal & external stakeholders. Further duties of the role include:

Provide strategic finance leadership and strategic tax advice across all areas of the organisation
Becoming the

lead point of contact with HMRC and managing relationships with external advisers, as well as building and managing relationships within the central Finance function
Ensuring staff at all levels have an awareness of tax issues, and training tools and resources to improve knowledge in this area
Be the VAT lead on ongoing redevelopment and large scale projects
Lead strategic improvement to the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and controls to support the tax operations
Line management to the tax team, comprised of a Tax Analyst and Technician
The ideal candidate will possess significant post-qualification (CTA or similar) tax experience, and having operated at a senior financial level within a large, complex environment, you will have substantial professional VAT experience, as well as a strong track record of leadership at this level - providing direction, delivering results, building on relationships and capability and demonstrating personal resilience.
