Tax Partner Designate

• Developing personal or corporate tax efficient strategies 
  
• Providing support to clients with complex UK and International tax issues
  
• Corporate - Dealing with basic tax planning, cross -border tax structuring and deal tax structuring activities, restructuring, R&D, EIS, capital allowances) 
  
• Personal - Supporting the Head of Tax regarding tax projects for individuals (eg, dividend planning, CGT, trusts, Non domicile, VCT, IHT)
  
• Overseeing a team of junior tax staff
  
• Ensuring that the quality of personal tax & corporate tax work is done to agreed cost and timescales
  
• Working with the Tax Partners to grow and develop the firm, and increase advisory services to clients.
  
• Engaging with local referrers and other external third -parties regarding business development.
  
• Confidently explaining tax issues and options to clients in a non -technical manner, and presenting to small groups in client workshops or internal training courses.
  

Requirements

• CTA/ ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  
• Experience of working in tax and a demonstrable passion for working with, clients in the public and third sector.
  
• Experience of a client or customer facing role.
  
• Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio. 
  
• Interest in building client relationships in order to generate fee -paying work.
  
• Experience of operating, or an exhibited ability to operate, at a Tax Manager or Associate Director level within a busy professional practice.
