Sheridan Maine is partnering with a highly respected and established accountancy practice to recruit a Tax Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tax Senior or a capable Tax Semi Senior looking to progress into a more senior role.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and professional team, working with a varied client base across multiple sectors. The firm offers structured development opportunities and a strong platform for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities of the Tax Senior/Tax Semi Senior will include:

• Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of clients.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing queries and correspondence.
• Assist with tax planning assignments and identify opportunities for clients.
• Supervise and support junior team members, including review of work.
• Keep up to date with relevant tax legislation and industry changes.

The successful Tax Senior/Tax Semi Senior:

• Previous experience in a tax role within a UK practice (ideally a minimum of 2 years).
• ATT qualified or studying towards CTA (or equivalent experience).
• Sound understanding of UK tax compliance and advisory work.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
