Reed Croydon is working with a well-established practice who are seeking a Tax Senior/Assistant Manager to their dynamic team. This role entails managing the personal tax compliance cycle and provide tax planning and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role offers a clear path for progression, as it is designed to transition into a Tax Manager position due to an upcoming retirement. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in tax compliance and advisory, looking to advance their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage the personal tax compliance cycle, including tax preparation, computation, and returns for approximately 300 clients.
• Complete other taxation filings such as ATED returns, P11D/P11D(b), and Capital Gains Tax Returns.
• Engage in tax planning, advisory services, clearance applications, and compliance work.
• Handle compliance correspondence with HMRC and deal with HMRC investigations and enquiries for personal and corporation tax matters.
• Support accounts staff on tax-related matters and liaise with clients to discuss and review their specific cases.
• Report directly to the partner/tax manager, with a clear pathway to take over the Tax Manager role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ATT qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in managing a large portfolio of tax clients.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance processes and tax advisory.
• Familiarity with IHT, Trusts, and VAT is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and HMRC.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
