Job description

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a Tax Specialist to join the Finance team at Cambridge Education Group.

This role plays a key role within the Group Tax function, supporting the Group Tax Manager across transfer pricing, auditing, tax compliance, tax accounting, advisory work, and internal governance. The role provides hands on involvement in the preparation of tax filings, maintenance of transfer pricing documentation, support for tax audits, and contribution to global tax processes and initiatives.

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail, a developing understanding of international tax and transfer pricing principles.

Key Responsibilities

Transfer pricing

  1. Prepare, review and maintain transfer pricing documentation
  2. Prepare audit ready tax documentation to a high standard.
  3. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual direct and indirect tax filings (Corporation Tax, VAT/GST, PSA), ensuring accurate, timely submissions with robust supporting documentation.
  4. Support year-end current and deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures under IFRS and UK GAAP

Person Specification

  1. Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CTA or equivalent).
  2. At least 2years’ tax experience in industry or professional services (Big 4/Top 10 desirable).
  3. Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and tax accounting.
  4. Exposure to international tax or transfer pricing advantageous (training provided).

Skills & Attributes

  1. Solid grounding in corporate tax with an interest in developing transfer pricing expertise.
  2. Highly analytical with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  4. Clear, confident written and verbal communicator.
  5. Proficient in Excel; experience with tax or TP tools beneficial.
  6. Commercially aware with a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
