Tax Telephone Line Adviser

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with an established and growing organisation who are seeking a Tax Telephone Line Adviser to join their dedicated tax advice team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide technical advice across a wide range of tax issues while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

The Opportunity

As part of the specialist telephone advice team, you will be the first point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical, and customer-focused guidance on a broad spectrum of tax matters. You will play a key role in supporting partnership and affinity group clients in line with agreed service levels and KPIs, while also having the opportunity to contribute to additional consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provide telephone-based tax advice on a variety of issues including income tax, self-assessment, corporation tax, SDLT and more.

Demonstrate strong technical expertise while delivering pragmatic, commercially aware advice tailored to client needs.

Accurately assess client queries, quickly forming a clear understanding and delivering practical solutions.

Work collaboratively with consultancy, advice line and business development teams to ensure consistent delivery and continuity of advice.

Undertake ad-hoc consultancy projects where required.

Draft topical articles and updates for the company website and social media platforms.

Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all client interactions.

About You

CTA or ATT qualified, or equivalent experience gained within a professional firm or in a telephone tax advisory role.

Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of UK tax issues.
