Tax Trainee

Are you looking to kick-start your career in Tax within a supportive and friendly team? My client is looking for a Tax Trainee to join a welcoming tax department based in their Malvern office, with the benefit of hybrid working and flexible hours.

About the Role

As a Tax Trainee, you will play an important role in building up to managing and supporting a personal tax client portfolio, gaining hands-on experience and developing your technical skills. With full support from our experienced team, you’ll be given increasing responsibility as your confidence grows.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Following successful training and development you will manage a personal tax portfolio of approx. 300 clients
• Preparing personal tax returns and assisting with queries and advice
• Liaising with HMRC on matters such as tax codes, refunds, and ad hoc queries
• Attending client meetings and calls to review tax returns and address client questions
• Preparing and submitting Capital Gains Tax returns
• Registering Trusts on the Trust Registration Service
• Progressing towards assisting with Corporation Tax

Training & Development

We provide full study support for the ATT qualification, with the potential to progress to the CTA qualification upon completion. You’ll receive tailored support from senior colleagues, managers, and partners throughout your training journey.
