Tax Trainee

REED Practice are recruiting for a Tax Trainee for an Accountancy Practice based near Sherborne

This is an exciting role, joining a well regarded team, support and training will be offered to complete ATT / CTA Qualifications.

Salary is negotiable - £20,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Junior Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of corporate, personal, and VAT tax returns.
• Gather and organize financial data and documentation for tax filings.
• Support the tax team in ensuring compliance with local and national tax regulations.
• Help maintain accurate tax records and assist with audits as needed.
• Conduct basic research on tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing tax provisions and reconciliations.
• Provide administrative support to the tax department as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or working towards one).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
