Position Summary:

Our client, a highly regarded secondary school in Croydon, is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their faculty starting September 2024. This full-time, permanent position offers an exceptional opportunity to inspire and cultivate a passion for music in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and dynamic music department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and innovative music lessons for students of all abilities


• Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback


• Collaborate with colleagues within the music department and across the wider school community


• Participate in extra-curricular music activities, concerts, and performances

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant undergraduate degree in Music or a related field


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification


• A proven track record of successful teaching experience in secondary music education


• A strong understanding of music theory, history, and performance


• An ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and abilities
