Job Description - Teacher

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher Year 3 specialist looking for your next opportunity? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a part-time Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving Solihull primary school, starting after May half-term. This long-term role involves teaching a Year 3 class three days per week.

Key Responsibilities – Year 3 Primary Teacher Job

As a Primary School Teacher for Year 3, your key duties will include:

Planning and teaching engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Year 3 National Curriculum.

*

Preparing teaching resources, marking student work, and maintaining an organised classroom environment.

*

Utilising weekly PPA time to support lesson planning and assessment.

*

Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.

*

Communicating effectively with parents to track and support pupil progress.

*

Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s expectations and policies.

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting teaching role, you must:

*

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant Key Stage 2 experience (Year 3 preferred).

*

Have a strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and best practices in primary teaching.

*

Be passionate about delivering high-quality education that supports pupil progress and well-being.

*

Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

*

Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
