About the Role:

• Teach Art and Design with a focus on Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4, potentially Key Stage 5.


• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.


• Guide students in using a variety of textiles and techniques.


• Develop students' understanding of design principles and creative processes.


• Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback.


• Contribute to the department's curriculum development.


• Foster a love of art and design in students.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues.


• Participate in professional development opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or equivalent.


• Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design, with a specialism in Textiles.


• Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and Design.


• Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.


• Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
