About the Role:

• Teach Design and Technology with a specialism in Product Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for teaching at Key Stage 5.


• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.


• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, including design challenges, project-based learning, and computer-aided design (CAD) software, to develop students' design and making skills.


• Encourage students to explore their creativity, solve problems, and develop innovative solutions.


• Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.


• Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.


• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

We are looking for:

• A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.


• Excellent subject knowledge in Design and Technology, with a specialism in Product Design.


• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.


• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
