Your New Role
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable Teacher of Digital Literacy and IT to join a dedicated academic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in advanced digital and IT skills, alongside contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum to reflect current industry practices. You will also take on personal tutor responsibilities, providing both academic guidance and pastoral support to a designated student group.
What You'll Need to SucceedEssential:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to convey complex information in a clear, engaging manner Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A proactive and adaptable approach to workDesirable:
Previous teaching, training, or coaching experience within IT or digital skills Interest in emerging technologies, including AI Experience facilitating group learning or contributing to curriculum developmentApplications are welcome from both qualified teachers and industry professionals with relevant experience. Full training and support will be provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and structured lessons in digital literacy and advanced IT skills Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and student engagement Act as a personal tutor, supporting students academically and pastorally Contribute to curriculum development to ensure alignment with industry needs Participate in staff meetings, training, and wider organisational activitiesWhat You'll Get in Return
