Brightstone Education Partners is recruiting for a Teacher of English & Drama on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in the Swindon area.

The successful candidate will guide students through the exploration of language, literature, and performance while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning during a period of maternity cover.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Deliver engaging English and Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

* Inspire students through literature, language, and performance

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment built on high expectations

* Support students of all abilities to achieve excellent outcomes

* Contribute to a thriving performing arts culture and wider school community

* Work collaboratively with colleagues using established curriculum resources and schemes of work

* Monitor and assess student progress effectively

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Has experience teaching English and Drama across secondary age ranges

* Demonstrates strong classroom management and evidence-informed teaching practice

* Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues

* Has a passion for literature, language, and creative expression

* Believes in inclusive education and high aspirations for all learners

* Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team
