Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working with a partner Wakefield school to recruit a dedicated English Teacher. This is a full-time English Teacher position and will start in September for the first half term in the first instance, with the potential to be extended.

The successful English Teacher will be teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 and will have responsibility for their own exam classes. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join a supportive school and make a positive impact on students’ learning and achievement.

This ‘Good’ rated school, in the Wakefield area, has a curriculum that is well designed. Leaders have clearly set out the subject knowledge that they want pupils to learn and the logical order in which it should be taught. Requirements:

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Well qualified with an honours degree in a relevant subject (English)
• 2 x references from educational establishments
• Evidence of an exemplary track record as an English Teacher
• A passion for success and quality teaching
• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
