About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and stimulating History lessons across the curriculum (Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and potentially A-Level)


• Foster a love of history and develop students' historical knowledge and critical thinking skills


• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential


• Integrate innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student engagement


• Effectively prepare students for GCSE, A-Level examinations


• Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and departmental goals


• Play a role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified History Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience


• A strong passion for History and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement


• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current historical developments and teaching methods


• Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons


• A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and supportive learning environment


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
