About the Role:

• Teach Media Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for teaching at Key Stage 5.


• Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.


• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, including film analysis, media production, and critical discussions, to develop students' understanding of media language, representation, and audience.


• Encourage students to analyze media texts, create their own media content, and engage critically with the media landscape.


• Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.


• Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.


• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

We are looking for:

• A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.


• Excellent subject knowledge in Media Studies.


• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
