Teacher of Physics | Watford Secondary School

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Watford is seeking a Teacher of Physics to join its Science department from September 2026.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for either an experienced Physics Teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career within a supportive school community that places a strong emphasis on student achievement, personal development, and staff wellbeing.

The Role

You will teach Physics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop scientific understanding, practical skills, and curiosity about the world around us.

You will join a collaborative Science department where resources are shared, ideas are welcomed, and student progress is a collective priority.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Degree in Physics or a closely related subject

• Ability to teach Physics across the secondary age range

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Commitment to raising achievement and inspiring students

• Right to work in the UK
