Teacher of Textiles

James Ray Recruitment are working on behalf of Outstanding Secondary school in Grimsby who are looking to appoint a teacher of Art & textiles who can develop and inspire pupils throughout their GCSE year. The role will commence from September 2024, for a 1 year contract.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Art or Art/Textiles, to join a thriving school based in Scarborough. The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner, capable of motivating and inspiring our students to make exceptional progress within this popular subject area. The flexibility to be able to contribute to the teaching of Art and Design, Textiles, and their Art Textiles GCSE course is advantageous for this role.
This school looking for someone who holds QTS and can deliver good levels of behaviour management. The role is a full-time position with the salary between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.
Who is the ideal candidate?
Enthusiasm for the subjects you teach - proven specialism in Art & Textiles at KS3 and KS4
Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a Technology Department.
Lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate]
