Pay rate: Up to £600 a week

Horizon teachers are seeking Teaching Assistants with the London Borough of Surbiton. This school is a mainstream school with a rich, vibrant and varied school community and curriculum that reflects this both in terms of the offer the school provides and the qualities the children and families bring with them.

About the school:

• The curriculum is based on 5 key principles: Core knowledge, Key vocabulary, Progressions, Inter connections and Cultural Capital
• Each child will be empowered to go onto being active member of their communities, feel included, listened to and feel secure that they have equal rights.

Roles and responsibilities:

• To work with individual and/or groups of students within the class and support them access the curriculum
• To support students' learning needs using a wide range of strategies and methods, according to difficulty of the lesson
• To prepare and adapt resources used in class to ensure that they are accessible to all students
• Keep records of the children's progress as stated by the Head teacher.
• Ensure that the syllabus for each subject for the year being taught is completely covered during the academic year
• Attend INSET, staff meetings, parents' evenings and any other functions as required by the school. Be available to parents for advice and discussion regarding their child, each day
