Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17)

Pay: £90-£103 per day
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 3:30pm
Start Date: September

Long Term Futures is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded education setting that supports students aged 4-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). This role is perfect for those with an SEN/ trauma informed background who want to use their skills to engage students needing extra support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage in learning.
• Develop positive behaviour through structured learning activities and other interactive sessions.
• Assist students in managing emotions by implementing targeted support strategies.
• Offer both emotional and physical support, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.
• Work closely with a skilled team to ensure students receive well-rounded support.
• Develop and implement effective behaviour management techniques to support long-term student success.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with SEN or challenging behaviours in education settings or similar.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• A proactive and resilient attitude, acting as a strong role model.
