Position: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary (with potential to go permanent)
Start Date: September 2025

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Newham to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a classroom setting, support students in their learning, and contribute to the life of a thriving school.

• Provide in-class support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management

• Work 1:1 or with small groups of students, including those with additional needs (SEND)

• Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

• Experience working with children or young people (in school or alternative settings)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build rapport with students

• A proactive, flexible, and patient approach

• A passion for education and supporting student development

Desirable but not essential:

• Degree or relevant qualification in education or youth work

• Experience with SEND

• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply through the agency)
