Teaching Assistant

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced MLD teaching assistant for long term teaching assistant job in Kidderminster, West Midlands (DY14 8UH). If you are a SEND (MLD) specialist who is available immediately or from January 2026, we would be keen to speak with you.

If you are an experienced teaching assistant who has worked with pupils with SEND (MLD) across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. This teaching assistant job is initially offered as a temporary, full-time post based at an established, alternative provision school. You may also have the opportunity to apply for the permanent upcoming vacancies later in the year. Their children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and some may have complex needs.

This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

A relevant UK based teaching assistant qualification (Minimum level 3).

Substantial experience working with pupils with MLD or SEND within an education setting.

Exceptional references.

Proposed start date: Immediate or Januray 2026

Salary: Dependant on experience (£120 per day to £140 per day)
